Well this just proves how bad I am at keeping a blog. I've probably said that in the last two posts from who knows how long ago. What can I say, I'm a busy girl. I have to be and I chose to be. However, there are times, like now, when I sit down and wonder where it's getting me. I know I'm getting somewhere, it just doesn't seem like it in the short view. Why? Because we have no social life whatsoever. Hopefully that will be changing soon though! Just one more month left of school. I'm working on one paper and have two more to write in the coming week. Two presentations and then finals!
Probably the biggest change for us in the past few months has been jobs. I lost my job at JC Penney back in December and joined the many who are unemployed. Don't ask, it was a stupid mistake on my part and an even bigger mistake on theirs. In a way, it was a blessing because I don't know if I would have ever gotten out of there if I hadn't been forced out. It was a rough few months, and luckily we had already bought everything for Christmas and had a very small savings.
I was lucky enough to get a job at Macey's, the grocery store, in Provo at the beginning of February. And guess what, I actually like it there. I love my co-workers and my managers, they're awesome people. I would much rather be a cashier than a courtesy clerk, but I will take what I can get.
Then, at the beginning of March, I had another unexpected blessing come my way. You see, back in December, I had tried to get a job as a receptionist at a chiropractic clinic in Spanish Fork. It was going great until my third interview. (A little much in my opinion, but whatever.) They decided to change the availability on me. A week before school started. I told them they had to decide that night to give me time to change my schedule. Well they decided they wanted to let the last girl get her final interview to be fair. So, no go. Worst mistake ever. Anyway, they called me at the beginning of March to ask me to come back. I almost said no, but I need this job to gain experience for my major and maybe use it for an internship. Well I found out that they're system is about 3 months behind and a TON of information has been lost because they hired idiots and careless interns. Now myself and another girl are running the office and trying to get everything caught up. It's a little stressful, but I like it because I can feel myself learning how to run an office, which is exactly what I will be doing with my major.
So, now I have two jobs... Call me crazy.
